PIRATES OF PENZANCE
I’m including this show, because it was kind of a miracle experience for me. The theatre that we did the show for, which I am no longer associated with, needed something that would bring in money and wouldn’t cost the theatre much. We did the show as a fundraiser, and almost everyone working on the show worked for free. I was able to get an outstanding cast, some great musicians and designers who pulled off everything (props, costumes, lights, set) for under $1,000. That’s one of the things that I love about theatre, you use creativity and talent to make up for lack of money and this production was an amazing example of that.
